Project Overview

MLT College Saharsa, a prestigious constituent unit of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU), is a leading government college in Bihar offering a wide array of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and distance learning courses. To modernize its academic infrastructure and improve communication with its large student body, the institution partnered with Webx99 to engineer a comprehensive digital education portal.

The Challenge 

As a major government educational hub, MLT College generated a massive volume of daily administrative data, including admission guidelines, examination schedules, and syllabus updates across various UG, PG, and distance programs. The primary challenge was the lack of a centralized, easily updatable digital platform. Students frequently faced information silos, while administrators struggled with outdated systems to publish time-sensitive academic notifications. Webx99 was tasked with transforming this fragmented communication process into a unified, user-friendly digital experience.

The Solution 

To solve these accessibility and management challenges, the Webx99 web development team architected a robust, custom content management system (CMS) tailored specifically for the government education sector.

• Custom CMS Architecture (WordPress): We leveraged WordPress to build a highly scalable backend. This empowered the college's non-technical administrative staff to easily upload official notices, manage course catalogs, and update academic calendars in real time without developer intervention.
• Dynamic Backend Processing (PHP): Our team utilized PHP to handle complex database queries, securely managing vast directories of student resources, faculty profiles, and departmental information across the college’s diverse academic streams.
• Responsive UI/UX (Bootstrap): Recognizing the diverse demographic of the student body, Webx99 implemented the Bootstrap framework to deliver a mobile-first, responsive web design. This ensured that critical college information was easily accessible on any device, from desktop computers to budget smartphones.

The Impact 

The customized web portal successfully digitized MLT College’s administrative workflow. By delivering a fast, responsive, and easy-to-manage platform, Webx99 drastically improved information accessibility for thousands of students in Saharsa. The project established a modern digital standard for government colleges in Bihar, fostering better student-faculty communication and streamlining the institution's overall academic operations.
